Airgreen’s laser methane product page now brings together two purchase options: a sensor module for controller integration and a complete methane gas alarm with an LED concentration display and audible/visual warning.
5 V TTL sensor module
The module uses laser absorption with diffusion sampling to measure methane (CH4). Its listed measuring range is 0–100% Vol, with a 5 V DC supply and TTL UART serial output. The stated resolution is 0.01%, and the listed operating temperature is −10 to +50°C.
This version is intended for integration with a compatible controller. Check the pin assignment, UART logic level and communication documentation before connecting it. TTL must not be connected directly to RS232 or RS485.
LED gas alarm
The complete alarm is a separate purchase option for applications needing a local concentration display and audible/visual warning. The module’s 5 V and TTL specifications must not be assumed to apply to the complete alarm; confirm its own supply, wiring and interface requirements.
Check the unit and application
%Vol and %LEL are different concentration units. Select the appropriate range and configuration for the project, and follow the supplied installation and calibration instructions. This update does not assert hazardous-area certification or suitability for every safety application.
